Antique Bookend Shoppe

This is an extremely rare pair of bookends featuring a pirate standing with one hand on his hip, the other gripping a pistol tucked into the sash around his waist.  He has a scowl on his face.   The figures are french bronze in gold and deep red tones.  His face is ivorine.  The base and backplate are alabaster in a orange tone. All is original.  Each bookend stands 5 1/4" tall, 3 1/8" long, 3" wide and weighs 1 lb. 7 oz. (2 lbs. 14 oz. for the pair).  They are in very good condition with minor finish loss  to the paint and dings in the alabaster.
