Antique Bookend Shoppe

This delightful set of bookends feature a Seahorse Family with an adult flanked by babies.  The base is shaped as an open book.  Nicely detailed and finished.  Each bookend stands 5 5/8" tall, 5 1/2" wide, 1 5/8" deep and weighs 1 lb. 7 oz. (2 lbs. 14 oz. for the pair).  They are in very good condition. One corner has nibbles out which was done in the originally casting.  They are made of cast iron with a black base color and a verdigris finish on top, they show beautifully.
