Antique Bookend Shoppe

This is an extraordinary pair of extremely rare high quality bookends in silver and gold.  Both the little boy and girl are standing on tiptoes on a book shaped base, leaning over the backplate which is also a book.  Both have puckered lips getting ready for a daring kiss!  The little girl is wearing a dress with a bow at her neck, she is holding the open book she was reading behind her back.  The little boy is in short pants, he has his baseball cap in his hand behind his back. The detailing is excellent as is typical of Jennings Brothers art pieces.  Each bookend stands 7 1/8" tall, 3 1/3" long, 3 1/8" wide and weighs 2 lbs. 13 oz. (5 lbs. 10 oz. for the pair).  They are in very good condition. There is some tarnish on the silver which we didn't polish, the finish is original.  Authenticity is assured as both still have the original Jennings Brothers labels on the bottom.
