This beautiful set of old original cast iron bookends have a coppery bronze plating.  The quality of the casting is excellent indicating the strong musculature of the Lioness.  Each bookend stands 4 5/8" tall, 7 3/4" long, 2" wide and weighs 2 lb. 13 oz. (5 lb. 10 oz. for the pair).  Incised on the front rounded base is the word 'SURPRISED'.  This set is in very good condition.
