Antique Bookend Shoppe

This extraordinary set of bookends feature a man playing the concertina and a  woman playing the banjo.  Both are dressed as stage performers, he more as a jester type character.  They have ivorine heads and hands.  The bodies are metal in a blue black paint. Each base and backplate is made of three pieces of marble.  All original.  Each bookend stands 7 1/8" tall, 5 1/8" long, 4" wide and weighs 6 lbs. 5 oz. (12 lbs. 10 oz. for the pair). They are in very good condition.  A very special set.
