Antique Bookend Shoppe

Magnificently detailed pair of antique bookends featuring the woman considered to be the national heroine of France, Jeanne D'Arc (Joan of Arc). In this depiction she is comfortably seated in an outdoor area with her hands folded and legs tucked to one side. She is carrying a purse. Beautifully made. Each bookend stands 6 1/8" tall, 4 3/8" wide, 3 1/2" deep and weighs 2 lbs. 2 oz. They are in very good condition with minor blemishes. Jennings Brothers was one of the finest metal arts companies in the early 1900's. They are especially renowned for their excellent casting and high quality finishes.
