Antique Bookend Shoppe

These wonderful bookends feature the stately Poodle dressed in a large gold bow while standing on a gold tasseled cushion looking, as always, elegant. Circa 1950. Each bookend stands 6 5/8" tall, 6" wide, 3 3/4" deep and weighs just under a pound. They are in very good condition with minor paint loss. This set was made of Syroco Wood by Syracuse Ornamentals in Syracuse, NY. They used a wood composite to form the subject. They have metal baseplates to slide under the books to balance the weight. Authenticity is assured as there still remains an original label.
