Antique Bookend Shoppe

This very rare set of bookends are typical of the high quality which has made the products produced by the JB Hirsch Company so sought after by collectors. Each bookend stands 5 1/8" tall, 4 3/4" wide, 3 3/4" deep and weighs 2 lbs. 8oz. They are in very good condition. The monkeys have no cracks, dents, missing finish. The marble base has some minor chips. Authenticity is assured as the hallmark of JB Hirsch and the date of production 1932 can be found on the binding of the books stacked beside the monkey. The monkey is casted from white metal with a bronze finish and the base is marble.
