This spectacular set of bookends has two different related subjects both sitting on large pieces of quartz stone as a base. The golfer in bronze swinging his club on one, the other, has a slatted bench with the extra golf club. The base is signed C. Jere. The golfer stands 8 1/4" tall, the bench and golf club stand 4 1/2" tall, both are 6" wide, 5" deep and together weigh over 12 lbs. They are in very good condition. The C. Jere name was the collaboration of two artists, Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels who founded Artisan House in 1963. The company was located in California. They sold the company in 1972. Today, their sculptures sell for thousands of dollars at auction.
