This rare set of very heavy mid-century bookends feature a pair of snow skiiers going down the slopes. The skiers in this rare and original set of bookends are made of bronze while the slope is made of quartz stone. Each bookend stands 6" tall, 5 1/2" wide, 6 1/2" deep and weighs 5lbs. 14 oz. (11 lbs. 12 oz. for the pair). Authenticity is assured as they are signed C. Jere on the top of the skis. This remarkable set of bookends was produced by the two founders of Artisan House, Curtis Freiler and Jerry Fels. The signature C. Jere which can be seen on the skis is the combination of both their names. The company created metalwork and household accessories.
